Project Freeride
Waymakers Collective for Dare 2 Be
Project Freeride is a film that follows snowboarder, Luke, as he journeys into fatherhood, looking back at his past and own relationship to parenthood as he seeks solace in the backcountry.
Amidst the challenges of being a self-employed content creator and facing grief, this project explores the untold stories that lie beneath the filtered snapshots of life, all whilst pursuing Luke’s obsession and the grounding that is snowboarding. We follow Luke throughout a year as he learns how to snowboard, as well as how to heal from grief through his relationships to the outdoors, to winter, and to his partner Tyler, and their first child, Maia.
